Car Park Closures for White Line Painting Works – August 2026

Essential white line painting works will be taking place across several car parks in Newton Aycliffe Town Centre during August.

To improve the appearance, layout and safety of our car parks, white line painting works will be carried out across a number of locations. To allow the works to be completed safely and efficiently, temporary closures will be in place while the painting takes place.

The car parks will close from midday on the day before the works begin, with contractors starting at 7am the following morning. Although the painted lines dry quickly (usually within around five minutes), the full programme of works will take several hours to complete, so car parks will remain closed for the full day to allow the work to be carried out.

Once works are complete, car parks will reopen on the same day.
